JLG 520AJ: what it is for
The JLG 520AJ is the 18 m diesel articulating boom: 18.00 m working height, 10.65 m working outreach and 250 kg platform capacity, unrestricted across the whole working envelope.
The articulating boom with a 1.24 m jib reaches up and over obstacles up to 7.30 m high and then places the platform precisely, for example over a roof or between structures. The turntable rotates 355° with zero tailswing, so it works close to walls and in narrow streets.
It shares the 2.35 m wide chassis of the 450AJ, with foam-filled rough-terrain tyres, an oscillating front axle and 45% gradeability, and adds 2 m of height and more reach. The 36.4 kW Deutz engine has variable engine control to cut fuel consumption.
